Dream - "with a face as bright as music"
Apr. 5th, 2021 05:47 amMy dream avatar was telling/ inventing a story in my dream. It was taking place on several layers, myself who was dreaming was watching my dream avatar tell the story and watching the action as the story unfolded.
In Africa once a servant girl was tailing her master as he made his way to the tavern in the twilight fading to dark. Along the way, he fell in with a chance-met companion; the two men walked along talking, the servant girl following unseen behind. She did not know the companion, who he was, what he looked like.
Just outside the tavern, which was a round building which my dreaming mind identified as a kraal, the companion knived the girl's master; a vicious thorough attack. She faded back against the dusty plants at the side of the unpaved road. Must have made a gasp or sound of some sort because the murderer turned to look.
At that point, the story was told in words and the story-teller described the murderer as having "a face as bright as music". In the dream, I went on to add in some sort of explanation, but that phrase is what I remember because ... up until the last moment, I expected it to be "a face as bright as sunshine" or "as the sun" ... something to indicate that the assailant was a white person.
But the phrase was "a face as bright as music".
