Dream wisdom
Jan. 3rd, 2022 05:01 amI'm not remembering much of my dreams at the moment but two things stick out in my mind.
The first statement was a couple of days ago - the morning of the 1st. I said it to someone who was both my least-liked sister and the woman I like best of those with whom I work. As the latter, she cracked up laughing. And I was left wondering all day ... what would Zen magic be?
The second was this morning, said by a former head of a home for displaced children to the leader of a successful rebellion as they sifted through the ruins of the demolished home - which had been evacuated before the bomb fell. We were finding many small chairs in pieces. I held one up in question as I answered that I admired that there were so many chairs left behind. She laughed and replied that they all left their chairs behind.
I was left with the impression that that had a deeper meaning than simply all the children had gotten out safely ... that she was speaking of more than simply the children who had been in the home at the time.
Zen to me is the state of mind when I am totally focused on some boring task, not actively thinking, simply doing. Living completely in the moment. I can't really see how that relates to the art of working magic, though.
"What did you think Zen magic WAS?"
"You apply the minimum force for the maximum effect - and now you're applying me to the situation? What do you expect me to do?"

"What did you think Zen magic WAS?"The thing is, I feel as though these two statements are connected; that Zen magic would be the art of applying the minimum force to obtain the maximum effect.
