Dream snippets
Dec. 8th, 2021 04:53 amI haven't remembered the main body of my dreams for yesterday or today, but I did bring the last scene of each out of the night.
Yestermorn, I walked with my love in a huge backyard that fronted on a forest (conservation land?) in springtime. There was a sense of a huge old (Victorian) house belonging to us. Flowers were just blooming - tulips, daffodils, narcissi, snowdrops, croci, and the like and he was showing me the ones he thought were the most beautiful. I caught sight of a daffodil that intrigued me - it was almost translucent, so I dragged him over for a closer look. He began to laugh because it was plastic with a lightbulb in it. I was embarrassed. Then I woke in a panic because I thought I was sleeping late. {I sort of was, it was 3:50, ten minutes before my alarm goes off.}
This morning, I was out for a walk in a small, old-fashioned town that I was not very familiar with. There was a white statue of a couple of dogs lying together. As I walked toward it, I saw a white fox ahead of me. It very deliberately mounted the pedestal of the statue and lay down so that it appeared to be one of the dogs. I brought it to the attention of a couple of guys passing by but they shrugged it off - apparently it was a common thing for the white fox to do and the locals were complacent about it.
Both scenes are crystal clear in memory but the events that preceded each are completely gone.
