Dream - murder in the convent gardens
Dec. 2nd, 2025 02:46 pmIt was early morning when Robot Sister Emmanuel discovered the two bodies in the convent gardens. She didn't recognize the dead human but the deactivated robot was the convent handyman/gardener. Not knowing what to do, she went to inform Sister Mary Aquinas (I'm not entirely sure if this was the second name, I know that it was some sort of reference to a religious investigator and Aquinas seems to fit with what my dream left me). Trouble ... aka Novice Gloria ... tagged along because that was what Trouble did.
The two bodies were several yards apart, separated by vegetation. There were no obvious or overt signs of violence; nothing to indicate why the two were dead. Sister Mary Aquinas managed to back-track to where the man had entered the convent grounds and there were some signs that perhaps someone had exited as well, but said signs were not clear. Naturally, there were no cameras in the contemplative gardens.
Autopsy revealed that the human had died due to some massive electrical charge - like a lightning strike. The police decided that the robot gardener had killed the human and that had somehow overloaded his operating system to deactivate him. Investigation revealed that he had also suffered a similar overcharge, so that seemed to fit. R. Sister Emmanuel did not agree. Sister Mary Aquinas believed her and continued to investigate.
Just before I woke up, the three discovered that two human men had enetered the convent grounds. One of them had used a rod to kill the dead human and the robot gardener had had the misfortune to encounter the murderer on his way out. The killer used the same stick on the gardener.
I do not know why the two men entered the garden. I don't know why the human had to be murdered or why there. I don't know who the killer was. I wish I did.
